Showcase is an annual runway-style fashion show of apparel designs created by Appalachian State University students in the apparel design and merchandising program in the Department of Applied Design.
The event is organized and planned by the Visual Merchandising, Display, and Promotion class under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Anthony Wilson, and features a series of cohesive collections created by seniors enrolled in the Apparel Design Studio IV class. The event also includes student designs created in the following courses:
- Apparel Design Studio I
- Apparel Design Studio II
- Sustainability in the Apparel Industry
Independent student designs created outside of class and work by apparel design and merchandising faculty is also showcased at the event.
