Teaching and Research Interest(s)
As an educator, Mr. Ladwig has a history of highlighting and documenting student success through external validation. Student projects from his courses have won more than 120 awards in local, regional, national, and international competitions. He has presented topics on design pedagogy at national and international conferences with a focus on technological integration and disciplinary expertise.
As a maker, Sam is interested in bridging the gap between custom hand-crafted work and production furniture with sensitivity to material sourcing, embodied energy, and biodegradability and their impact on the local and global environment.
